Bill Muncey

Inducted: 1986

An illustrious hydroplane driver, he launched his career in Seattle with Miss Thriftway. He became the most successful driver in hydroplane history. He is responsible for making Seattle the hydro capitol of America. He died in a race in Mexico.

 

Stan Sayres

Inducted: 1996

Considered the person most responsible for making Seattle the mecca for unlimited hydroplane racing in the world. He teamed up with others to bring national honors to the Northwest with his famed Slo-Mo boats. He also brought the famed Gold Cup racing event to the state. He set two world speed records as the driver of the Slo-Mo IV.

Billy Schumacher

Inducted: 1979

Holder of 12 world speed records from outboards to unlimiteds including the prestigious Paris Grand Prix in 1974.
